Today, my inspiration first thing was Alvin Toffler. Sustainability, survive-ability.
He says the Census is a great occassion, and I would add that Market Research is a good
industry. Every 10 years, jobs are created for 400,000 people for a year or year-and-a-half
in the US to do the Census.
An idea occurs to me: Why don't they do a similar thing now, to find out from people their
views as to how the economy can advance, what industries could be created, where the
profit centres will be, and how to turn the information overload into useful knowledge for
selected groups, and how this could generate wealth.
Out of 100, 40 people are Optimistic about the economy, 30 are gloomy, 30 are undecided.
It is this undecided 30 percent who will tip the balance.
With hard work, right direction, enterprise and industriousness, I feel we will have a positive economy, with growth; and fears of recession will be side-steped in favour of a bright future, with work for more, and better facilities for education, training, housing, health, travel, leisure, prosperity.
I pray for all this for everyone in the world.
