The agenda to take the world forward and avert any talk of a double dip - which I
believe has been averted, by grace of God, would be to create jobs and enterprises
and thereby wealth.
If people are earning their own living, and not having to rely on government social aid,
then that would be best. The governments have to empower people to be able to do so,
not only in the mature economies, but also in the Emerged and Emerging economies.
So, I believe governments have to invest in people and local enterprises so that people
become self-sustaining in their daily bread, and that would contribute to growth of
local neighbourhood shops, shopping centres and housing, schools, training providers,
and so on.
A concept on housing is to have housing tied with jobs. For example, in the past in
England, some Bus companies and supermarkets used to give housing to their employees.
That meant a loyal long-term committment from the staff.
If young people, especially those who have not gone on for university due to lack of fees,
could be offered business finance on low interest or enterprise grants to get them started
in Entrepreneurial careers - This will create wealth. This is where we may find the hidden
talent which otherwise due to lack of funding will never see the light of day.
I pray to God, Let there be light.
