On Sinday(yesterday), I attended the 10 a.m. service in Ilford at the
Church of Latter Day Saints.
They believe in the Bible (of course), as well as the Book of Mormons, which are the
inspired scriptures discovered in the form of Golden Tablets by their
Prophet, Joseph F. Smith, who brought the Light back into the world after the
Apostacy, the period where there was no living Prophet.
The two main commandments of the Christian faith are :
1) Love thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and all thy mind.
2) Love thy neighbour as thyself i.e. be tolerant and forgiving
The main message of Christainity can be briefly summed up in two words :
Repent, and Forgive. That is the main message of the Bible.
To repent is to renew, to be born again.
To forgive (and forget) is to cleanse the heart and be good to oneself, and
not burn with hatred and thoughts of revenge.
And how re-freshing such a message is.
It is the re-planting of love in one's heart and soul.
