What could get the U.K. economy growing, you ask?
Well, for one, the labour costs in the developed world have to come down,
just the same as saying they have to be more competitive.
Otherwise look at American Airlines, filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection
as they have been unable to scale down the pilots' salaries in line with the rest
of the U.S. airlines industry.
In the U.K. also, wages in a lot of sectors will need to be scaled down, to keep
going. That's one of the prices of globablisation and the digital economy and
the age of instant communication. Prices get compared instantly, the best deal
But, more importantly, in the U.K. money has to go into creating wealth.
All the marginalised groups need to be favourably helped with business finance.
Acorns have to be given for oak trees to grow.
Someone on BBC 24 (I don't know if he was from the RBS or OBR) saying
people were not borrowing i.e. they did not have the courage to borrow.
Yet there are groups, like a Women's Group in Birkenhead, saying they were
not being catered for. Women need finance to set up workshops, factories,
offices, dealing offices, training facilities, etc. They say a lot of women
are economically inactive. That is where money should be invested, as well
as in Entrepreneurs from minority groups who are normally fobbed off by
banks and finance groups. Plant the monetary acorns there.....You could
see wealth of oak trees grow.
