The U.S., India and China are said to be the producers of the greatest amount of CO2 emissions. The developing world, in the words of a delegate at the recent Climate Change talks, is obliged to stand by and die whilst the developed and emerging economies continue their growth apace. Should the agenda perhaps be that the other countries should be helped to develop some more smoke stacks and increase production, while the U.S., India and China should cool down a bit? When smoke stacks transfer to different and other parts of the world, the carbon emissions affecting Climate Change will have a different road map, and perhaps will have a preferable impact on the environment. Africa should be helped (maybe by their former colonial masters but others as well) to develop their agriculture, set up factories, processing plants, furniture making factories and so on. Forests need to be thinned before the weather gets too hot. Where there are five trees, A, B, C ,D, E, trees B and D need to be cut, so in case of a fire starting, the fire will not spread so quickly as it does when all trees are standing so close together. The local councils of forested areas should give permits for tree-felling, and employ the lumberjacks to trim the forests. All of these are tasks that take a lot of planning and employing of skilled workers - felling trees is a highly specialized job, requiring manual dexterity, alertness, physical fitness and skill in using machinery like mechanised-saws, drills, etc. What do you say?
