Fort Myers is of course the place where Henry Ford and Thomas Alva Eddison
retired after working lives which have enriched the world and continue to do so
even today with their various inventions and inspiring words.
"Everything is possible," Henry Ford says in his autobiography.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
These eternally optimistic words from the man with the indomitable will,
a great motor mechanic, father of the modern mechanised assembley line,
designer of the V-8 engine (which he insisted on and had manufactured and
working and proved in action even when others thought it was impossible)
resonate the Bible. The work of this man of genius was inspired by words
of God. "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see".
I find these are words of great inspiration and courage, and faith.
