One of the Five Pillars of the Third Industrial Revolution is to develop and produce en masse the new technology, like solar panels, wind power at windows, and geothermal for each house from its own plot of ground. According to Jeremy Rifkin, author of the book, Germany is working on a programme to build such technology in new housing, and this will start to be visible everywhere around 2026.
I understand New Jersey did a village with solar panels in the 1980s or so. What was learnt from that has to be put to good use, that would create lots of jobs.
As for the plane makers at Wichita - more planes will be needed in the future, as China builds one hundred new airports over the next few years.
When peace prevails and people are doing useful things, all of us like to take vacations and visit far-away places. That is a tomorrow that most people would like to see happen.
