Sad, sad, sad, that's all I can say when I saw the events on TV....the violence at the football match, then the clashes at Tahrir Square. Egypt is fortunate in having a military that protects its people, which is its duty. It is also fortunate that it has a Civil Society, through which medium they can peacefully protest and voice their grievances.
It is sad that communication seems to have broken down, and anger and frustration have been vented in this way, resulting in so many deaths. It is saddening.
I pray to God for peace for Egypt and her people, may they find tolerance and understanding in their hearts and avoid a breakdown of their economy, a good part being based on tourism which naturally suffers with violence. Can you understand a nation whose heroes are Gamal Abdul Nasser and Anwar Sadat not being able to form bonds of friendship with their own people?
Unity and peace among the people will nurse Egypt back to Recovery and, in due time, Prosperity. I pray to Allah, whose name too is God or Bhagvan, that the clashes stop.
I send my brotherly love to the people of Egypt.
