The best economic news today, coming from Dr. Zoellick the World Bank President, is that officially China this year is having a soft landing.
From growth rates of more than 9 percent over last few years, the growth rate this year is expected to be around the 8 percent mark. This, in the context of world conditions and the exhorbitant oil price, is cause for celebration.
A soft landing in China augers well for the world economies, as most are sizeable trading partners with China.
This is good news for everybody.
