It is the sad one year memorial of the tsunami that engulfed a part of Japan, causing so many to perish, so much damage to the Daichi nuclear power plants, and so many people to be displaced from the warmth and comfort of their homes.
Those days, Mr Kan had only recently become the Japanese PM, and it was saddening to hear of him being burdened with so much responsibility. But through God's love and a stoic spirit (stoic is the character response that people most associate with the Japanese) they fought against tremendous odds and have won through.
At that time I was hooked to the TV just listening to what was happening in Japan, and on my blog and on Twitter, I put anything that I felt compelled to write. I was just praying night and day to God to help save the situation in Japan.
Today I watched the prayer service at the Nigata Temple. It is through the unity of a people with God through communion and prayer that the Japanese are such a great and inspiring example. I bow with them in prayer.
