Yesterday, I reprinted my blog of 27th September 2011, Yulia Tymoshenko is a heroine... That has had over 130 reads on Stumbleupon.
I believe the gas passed through Kiev from Russia, but in error I had written Riga last time.
However, I am glad to hear that the former Prime Minister of the Ukraine, the one with the plaited golden ponytails braided on her head like a crown, Yulia Tymoshenko, has agreed to be hospitalised. So she will be out of the confines of prison, from which I think she should be pardoned and released... Her courageous act to open the gas taps on that bitterly cold Saturday afternoon probably saved a lot of people from freezing in Europe.
Suppose she had gone the normal route, and not just exercised her power to make this humanitarian decision alone, and waited for Monday for the parliament to open, ask a debate on this, etc, by Wednesday or so maybe they would have concluded to do the same, i.e. open the gas taps for supply to Europe, as the Ukrainain people are an understanding nation. But she took this decision alone, and she has been put in prison.
I hope the current PM will re-consider this case, and grant this noble-heart a pardon.
