You know, Karl Marx was a great economist, very popular in West Bengal as he wrote a tome called Das Kapital, and Das is a Bengali surname, so there is some kind of affinity for Marx.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Kolkata few days ago, and met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee. It is glaringly obvious that once some literal i.e. unimaginative ideas about capitalism and Marxism are discarded, West Bengal will develop apace. Just imagine if they had allowed the Tata Nano to be built there?
Such opportunities they should grab with both hands and help to develop West Bengal.
The German Jewish philosopher is buried at Highbury Cemetery. I did some blog or a series of Tweets on him some six months ago or so, but even now, someone put the search phrase Karl Marx Highbury Cemetery and found my blog. Danke.
Another phrase, Namnaa gaani, and I say Mazuri sanaa. I was born in Eldoret, Kenya, and had visitors from Kenya to my blog some time back. Now I understand that Tullow Oil has discovered good deposits of Oil in Kenya, just like they have found in Uganda.
Tullow Oil stock on the London Exchange will be bound to rise in due course.
I am glad for the people of Kenya and Uganda, who will share in this God-given treasure.
Until very soon.
