As is my habit, doing research or just strolling around, I popped in at Waterstones in Ilford. I turned round to have a look in the section where I normally see books on Popular Medicine. Instead, there were comic books, giant, weighty volumes printed on great quality paper, of KA-POW WA-zoom WH-OOSH and such words and perky nerds and sinister megalomaniacs as the characters. These books are probably meant to be collectors items, with a volume on Batman at £29.99.
These books are a delightful reverie into childhood days, and probably cheaper than psychotherapy.
I looked through the Mind, Body and Spirit bookshelves. I'M OK - YOU'RE OK. What a reassuring title, still selling strong.
There was an interesting title that caught my eye. How to look your gorgeous self - wearing what you love to wear. That's the sort of title that's a turn on.
