Now that the total Credit Easing in the U.K. is £325 Billion, people are in two minds whether there is a case for just a little more....perhaps £10 Billion over the next quarter?
If it can be earmarked for micro-finance, to lend to small businesses and people taking the courage to set up in business as tradesmen, perhaps loans of £3-£10K, to builders, restaurant owners and corner shops, that might be a good idea, especially in time for the Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games. A positive atmosphere will create the right welcome for visitors from all over the world, and the economy will be buoyed up if the atmosphere is right. People love this green and pleasant land, and an atmosphere where people are doing well would create the right feel.
Thus empowered, the local branches of the Big Four could sound out local businesses as to their requirements, and probably find the above recipe would work. Money creates money, and work creates wealth.
I would appreciate hearing your views.
