There seemed to be some respite in Syria after the peace plan suggested by Dr Kofi Annan. It is saddening to hear that bombings continue, the latest resulting in 110 people dead. The rebels and the government forces both, hopefully, will listen to the plea that they are both brethern, sons of the Prophets Mohammed and Ali, houses of the Sunni And Shi'a communities. They must let go of anger and recriminations, and show forgiveness and compromise, to halt what is turning into a civil war, making headlines the world over and making people feel helpless and aghast at what is happening in Homs and Alepo and Ugarit and Damascus.
All must show patience and hope, and self-control, and desist from engagement in the bloody killings, which will only result in a cycle of hate and further bloodshed.
Suppose nobody comes to mediate or separate the warring sides, then what happens? Can the two brethern not see the good sense in not killing each the other?
We all have to pray for peace in Syria. Only with peace will there be further development and improvement in the life and living standards and civil society in any country, as in Syria.
Peace is the gift of each soul to every other soul, and the best way is not to cause harm or bloodshed.
The biggest Moon of the year was not seen by most people on earth in May, because God could not have been happy with what is happening. All those who believe in Allah, must therefore make peace, and may we all see a Full Moon on 4th June. God in Heaven has granted so many gifts to Humanity, but He would not like to see his sons and daughters kill each other. As there is Peace, so it will be followed by Prosperity.
Inshallah, brothers and sisters of Syria will read this prayer for peace, and persuade their own not to engage in warring activities.
May God grant peace to all.
