When I heard Dr. Siegel of the Wharton Business School say that he thinks it is possible the Dow could head for 15,000.... I was happy to note his honest, academic, happy countenance... This man too is making a prediction based on the dynamics which prevail currently. The one factor that needs to inflate is confidence, the second one being that there is no unnecessary talk of war - in which case the Oil price shall move downwards, and enable a complete economic Recovery globally.
Previously I thought if the Dow went up 250 points a month, the trajectory did not seem an illusion. It seems quite logical. Now that some time has passed, with only 4 months plus remaining, perhaps the addition to think of is 500 points a month. 125 points a week? That's what the Dow gyrates in a day, most often. So if it added that much a week, consistently, to the end of the year, then of course 15,000 could be reached.
Or, if it's easier, let's say the S&P could reach 1500.
Now, let's get back into the rhythmn....1500, 1500, 1500....
