It seems like we have to all stand together, and be heartened by the progress America has made in its economic Recovery.
The logics of Prosperity are there, with the assumption that the Peace that prevails at the moment is improved upon.
If Oil is at or under $85a barrel, that will be a blessing - it will enable the poor countries too start to improve their standards of living.
Pakistan seems to have lots of people unable to buy CNG - natural gas.
Their currency has lost so much value that people cannot afford a handful of groundnuts
(peanuts) which most people traditionally eat. The rich who would normally buy a Kilo
of dry fruit are now only buying a half-kilo or quarter-kilo. That in a country which is
blessed with one of the best irrigation systems in the world, and where under normal
conditions everything grows a-plenty.
But they have problems with load-shedding, as the old electricity generation has become slow. That's the type of thing they need development aid for, to help their
economy serve their people.
The developing world cannot compare with the developed economies.
If it is tough for us, how much more painful it is for the poor countries?
If interest rates are reduced in the developing world, that may help to synchornise their
economies with the rest of the world, and perhaps benefit from all that God has given
