It is heart-breaking to hear of the deaths of infants at the Royal Hospital in Belfast, due to some bacteria.
Similarly, in Calcutta, due to some cause yet undiagnosed, eighteen infants have died in the last 48 hours. There in Calcutta, they have a number of problems. They are short of 17 paediatricans, whose posts are vacant. The incubators have not functioned properly, according to a TV news report, since 1991. The equipment in Calcutta is outdated, and still occupying space, due to lack of funds.
I am praying to God for the bereaved families, and send them my brotherly love.
I also appeal to anyone who may be able to help with knowledge in these matters to kindly assist, as well as to any organisation(s) to help raise funds for the hospitals concerned, so that such future tragedies may be averted.
Let us all join in a prayer for the affected families.
In the name of our Saviour, Jesus, whose love is eternal.
