I think it is a value-added proposition, to say that two brilliant heads together make genius. If one person has the ideas and the other the power to implement, then they can achieve what would otherwise not normally have happened so quick or so smart.
I was interested to hear Congress Speaker John Boehner talking about the Trans-Canada pipeline. He said that when started it would create 20,000 direct and another 100,000 indirect jobs. It would be a great project for the two nations, and would give a boost to Canadian employment creation as well.
The Republicans have put political differences aside in the national good, and backed Mr Obama in various job creation projects. That in no small measure has helped job creation in the US, creating over a million jobs in the last seven months. An increase in GDP of 2.8 percent for 2011 shows things are progressing in the right direction. For a major industrialised nation, that is an excellent achievement.
Continued bi-partisan co-operation will auger well for the US, as it leads the way through Recovery and onwards to Prosperity, for which I pray.
