I had a visitor to my blog from Starfor...I don't know if that is the same as the private spying organization employed by Dow Chemicals.
I have of course commented on Bhopal and the sad aftermath of the gas leak at the Union Carbide plant in 1984. The pictures of those sad people struggling in illness and abandoned and neglected in corporate social responsibility by Union Carbide and their successors, Dow Chemicals, are pictures that cannot be erased from the conciousness nor from the conscience of everybody concerned.
On a regular basis, virtually on a daily basis, people in Bhopal demonstrate and voice their anger and frustration against the injustice they feel Union Carbide left them with.
These people are virtually helpless. In the name of suffering humanity, I appeal to Dow Chemicals to re-examine this issue, and consider how a just and amicable answer can be arrived at on this issue.
How can those thousands of victims of the Bhopal disaster be helped, to alleviate their pain of daily living, to provide for their existence, their medical needs, some hope of a better future?
I would be hapy to see moral and other necessary support mobilize for the victims. Since 1984, it has been a long, long painful time. It just does not seem fair that such a situation has existed for so long.
I pray for God's blessing for the people of Bhopal.
