This is the third piece about the Fireside Meeting at the Church of Latter-Day Saints, it was that informative and interesting.
The most memorable thing for Saints will be the huge painting one of the artists in Georgia did on the wall in the refurbished dining hall of a community centre or something. It is that of Christ feeding the Five Thousand. It is a theme very relevant today, all over the world. If Christ could multiply one fish into many and feed all the hungry people, so must we trust that it will be true today. Only the spirit of God can replenish all the lands and give us water, air and sunshine to grow the crops. That will always be true till eternity, such is my faith. God our loving Heavenly Father did not give us the life more abundant so that we should remain unfulfilled, but rather that we should live in hope and under His grace, knowing that He knows all our requirements, and He chooses to show us His loving kindness in the way He knows is best for us.
I have heard about bumper crop harvests in India and China, of record acres of land in both U.S. and Russia under cultivation. I have heard there is great amount of water from Rhodesia Falls which could be used for irrigation in Zimbabwe. I have heard of God's mercy and forgiveness, of His blessings upon the human race and all His creation.
I have heard of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez worried how the people of his rich country will eat...This is the time when all of humanity will think about their neighbours, and remember what God has said about Love thy neighbour as thyself.
As we remember about Christ feeding the Five Thousand, we must believe that it is true.
All these things I believe, in the name of The Christ, our Saviour.
